Reviews
Dhaval is the sweetest, nicest person on the face of the earth. He is so sincere and has the best customer service skills, and genuinely went above and beyond. I had a small issue and he not only took me seriously but did much more than I asked for/wanted. I didn’t expect him to do any of what he did but he was so so extremely kind, and he truly didn’t even have to do anything. He deserves many raises and promotions and all the days off he wants.
The store is well lighted and is clean. The isles are clear of obstructions. As you enter at this time you will be greeted by their cool Halloween decorations.
I couldn't find a worker to ask about crochet clip on eyes until I got to the check out line. The cashier was helpful and knowledgeable in what I was asking for.
So, I do hope they will get small black snap on crochet eyes. Also, I was happy to see that this Michael's had cashier workers rather than self check out, it was a nice personal touch.
As I was leaving, an older lady lost her earring, once the cashier finished my order, she went straight to the older lady to help her out. I thought that was very nice.
Currently, the outside of the store is under renovations, however, you can still finding parking and the entrance is still wheelchair accessible.
A good selection of yarn, and there are a couple new options.
Their fall collection is pretty neat.
Always an awesome experience. Although I can be we leave this place empty handed, I get everything I need. And there usually is some promotion going on. All my Christmas decorating ideas have been from Michael’s. Employees are also very helpful.
Visited while front of store was under construction but still easy to find.
Big busy store. Hard to find an employee. Only one at cash ensuring self-checkout. I use self-checkout elsewhere all the time however this one felt overly complicated and use was not intuitive. Couldn't figure out to use the promo deal they were offering in-store and self-checkouts don't take cash. Frustrating to use. Would probably go to a different location in future just to use cashier.
Used to come here to speak to the staff and get their opinions and advice on different projects. Now they have no staff on the floor and only have self checkouts. Might as well shop on Amazon now. Hope the workers that were replaced with technology found gainful employment.
I'm baffled how this chain of stores is still in business.
I stopped into pick up a few specific colors of pencil crayons, figuring they are the only place around with much selection.
For starters, the pencil crayons are locked away in a little prison you can't test the colors, unless you want to annoy the staff by sampling colors while they wait.
And at this store, they only have one set buy individual colors from. So if you use all your 'ultramarine blue's & can't match it, they will gladly sell you another entire set for $30-$70 or you're SOL
Because odds are, the color you need they won't have in stock. I needed 4 colors & they had not one of them.
Secondly, prices are insane. I left here and stopped by Staples & they had the exact same pencil crayons---for $1 each instead of $3! Not on sale, that's the usual price. How does this store justify these kind on markups?
Honestly, these stores hurt the whole DIY & crafting experience. People think it'll be cheaper to 'make their own' but not if you shop here.
Anything here can be found online for 20-50% of what they'll charge you.
By the way, you can also test the colors freely at Staples. They don't lock up their pencil crayons. 😉
Michael's probably wouldn't have to either if they charged fair prices for their products.
I will give 1 star for the staff, because they are always very polite & friendly. I hope some of the profit goes to pay them well, but probably not.
Really, this place is sooo overpriced.
The location is fine but self checkouts only? Gross. Huge store and you really want to have the least staff possible? Why wouldn't I buy from Amazon then? You don't even employee local people because machines are cheaper. No thanks.
This store is super clean... I did find someone to help me she was very helpful, BUT Michael's don't carry Silicone Beads that was the only thing I was looking for that day.
Plus, never a cash open they want everyone to use self checkout..
What happened to the cashiers? The self check out worked fine. I asked the machine if it liked the shade of green watercolor i picked - no response. Shocked with the change.
